Charissa Carroll, DNP, APRN, FNP-BC

Charissa Carroll, DNP, APRN, FNP-BC, was born in Illinois and raised in Naples, Florida. After graduating from high school, she honorably served for 8 years in the United States Coast Guard, where she developed a passion for search-and-rescue missions and humanitarian work. Charissa then applied those skills and passions to pursue a career in nursing. She earned her bachelor’s degree in nursing from Florida Southwestern State College. During her career as a Registered Nurse, she worked in various settings, including Critical Care, Neurology, Home Healthcare, and Hospice. Charissa further advanced her career and graduated from Florida Gulf Coast University with her Doctoral Degree as a Nurse Practitioner.

Throughout her time as a Nurse Practitioner, she has found immense satisfaction and has provided primary care with a strong focus on mental health and dementia care. Charissa is known for her compassionate, attentive, and empathetic approach to patient care. She believes that a strong patient-provider relationship is crucial to delivering competent, holistic care.

Charissa enjoys spending time with her husband and son, as well as with her three dogs and three parrots.
